The Basque Government and IBM inaugurate Europe’s first and the world´s third, IBM Quantum System Two, which has been installed at the IBM-Euskadi Quantum Computational Center in Donostia/San Sebastián. The installation of this system marks a milestone in the strategic collaboration between the two entities, which began in 2023 within the framework of the BasQ – Basque Quantum initiative, promoted by the Basque Government to consolidate the Basque Country’s position as an international hub for quantum technologies.

i2basque, as part of the Ikerbasque Foundation, is pleased to collaborate with the DIPC and the BasQ ecosystem to boost quantum-related applications and encourage experimentation and innovation in these technologies.
