On January 26, the upgrade of our main i2basque connection with RedIRIS was successfully completed, at the EHU/LEIOA node, from 2×10 Gbps to 1×100 Gbps. This upgrade will help prevent occasional saturation issues on this connection, which had been occurring as a result of increased inbound and outbound traffic from affiliated institutions.

The upgrade of the secondary link with RedIRIS at the I2BEJI/EJIE node, from 2×10 Gbps to 1×100 Gbps, is also scheduled. This will ensure that, in the event of problems with the main link, the secondary link will be able to handle all traffic to and from RedIRIS without issues.
